 PURPOSE

The purpose of this congregation shall be to give honor and glory to God, to carry out His will, to assist in preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ as God and Savior, to foster Christian fellowship and love, to extend a helping hand in human need, and to achieve our objectives by the preaching of the Word of God, by the administration of the Sacraments, and by the religious instruction of all its members according to the confessional of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Baptized members are all who have been baptized in the name of the Triune God (Father, +Son and Holy Spirit) and who are under the spiritual care of the pastor of this congregation, including the children who have not yet been confirmed. Communicant members are those baptized members who have been confirmed in the Lutheran faith, accept the confessinal standard (Book of Concord: Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church), are familiar at least with the contents of Luther's Small Catechism, and are not members of organizations whose principles and conduct conflict with the Word of God. Voting members are communicant members who have reached the age of eighteen years, have been received by the voters assembly, and have signed the constitution of this congregation. the pastor is exempt from this requirement for, by virtue of his office, he does not have voting privileges.

SERVICES

St. Paul's Lutheran Church offers a Saturday evening/late afternoon service at 5:30 p.m., and a Sunday morning service at 9:00 a.m. Sunday School and Adult Scripture Study follows the Sunday service. Holy Communion is offered on the first, third and fifth Saturdays and Sundays of the month to all communicant members of LCMS congregations. We practice the Scriptural and Confessional practice of closed communion, so that those who attend the Holy Supper know "what they seek, and why they come." EDUCATION

Weekday School Christian education is given at St. Paul's for grades 1-8. There is Wednesday early dismissal from the public school so that the children may attend and be taught the Christian Faith of Christ crucified and risen as their salvation and life through the Word and Sacrament life of the church. Sunday School is offered for preschool through eighth grade, and Scripture Study for all confirmed members to continue growth in the Holy Christian Faith.

 WELCOME

The hymn writer summarized every age quite well when he wrote: "Change and decay in all around I see. Oh, thou who changest not, abide with me." St. Paul's Lutheran church is a congregation facing the shifting sands of our sinful flesh, the world, and the devil's power with the solid rock of Jesus Christ crucified and risen, revealed and given in the preaching of His Word, the forgiveness of our sins, and the reception of His body and blood in the Lord's Supper. In an ever changing culture it is indeed priceless and precious to enter the doors of St. Paul's on any given Sunday to participate in the timeless and treasured liturgy and hymns, and be graced with the changeless Christ. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Come worship with us at our Divine services. Come and hear, receive and believe that Jesus is the Christ, your Savior, the Son of the living God!
