The
Village Clerk/Treasurer office is the legal custodian of the Village's
offical records. It serves as a public information center. The office
is responsible for the administration of elections, legal notification
to the public, the issuance of licenses and permits, the preparation of
the official minutes and agendas for Council, manager of all city
insurance's, manager of personnel records, CDL records, safety
policies, etc.
The office provides administrative
support of all department heads, the Common Council, boards,
commissions and committees, and responds to informational requests from
the general public. The office is responsible for collecting,
depositing, and investing city funds. This includes the maintenance and
duties associated with all financial records, billing and collections,
payroll, investments and cash manaement, and property tax collection.
Report and file documents to the federal and state agencies on several
issues, such as municipal boundaries, annexations, FCC, census, TIF,
W-2's, etc.
The data processing responsibilities
are also handled by the Clerk/Treasurer's office. This includes
administration and maintenance of the Village's hardware and software
issues, as well as support on an individual basis (troubleshooting).
